Equity shapes to memorise (favourite's %)
Each question names a pre-flop match-up — for example, A-K suited versus a pair of queens. Pick the equity of the first hand from four options. After ten questions you get a table of every match-up and its true equity to keep as a reference.
The shapes behind the numbers
Every match-up is one of a few patterns. Overpair versus underpair is a big favourite (~80/20). A pair against two higher cards is a coin flip (~55/45). Two big cards against a smaller pair — like A-K vs Q-Q — is a near race (~46/54). And when one hand shares the other's top card with a worse kicker, it's dominated and crushed. Learn the pattern and the number follows.

Frequently asked questions
What is Equity Matrix?
A recall quiz for the classic pre-flop match-ups every player should know — aces versus kings, big slick versus a pair, dominated aces, and so on. You're shown a match-up and pick the first hand's equity; after ten questions you get a reference table of them all.
Which match-ups should I memorise?
The staples: overpair vs underpair (~82/18), a pair vs two overcards (~55/45), a pair vs one over one under (~70/30), two overcards vs a smaller pair (~46/54, a near race), and a dominated ace (~70/30 or worse). These cover most pre-flop all-ins.
Are the equities exact?
They're standard heads-up pre-flop equities rounded to whole percentages — the numbers you'll see quoted in training material and confirmed by any equity calculator.
Why memorise equities at all?
In pre-flop all-in spots you rarely have time to calculate. Knowing the common shapes lets you instantly judge whether calling a shove is profitable given the pot and the stakes.
