Why the mix is the real test
Isolated drills build individual muscles; a real hand asks you to use all of them in sequence, fast. In one spot you estimate how much of a raiser's range hit the flop, then re-read your own hand when the turn brings a flush card, then judge whether the top of their range now beats you on the river — three different reads in ten seconds. If you can only do each in a quiet single-skill drill, you'll fumble the live switch. This mix rehearses exactly that gear-changing, so the skills fuse into the single fluent process strong players run automatically.
